For more than 25 years, I've worked inside the parts of a business where revenue quietly disappears — inbound calls that never get logged, leads that stall in a CRM, estimates that go out and never get followed up. I've done this work across marketing, sales, call-center operations, lead handling, staffing, and day-to-day process management — not as theory, but as the job.

Why I started this

Across more than 25 years of operating businesses, marketing, sales, call-center operations, staffing, reporting, and day-to-day process management, I kept seeing the same pattern: companies work hard to create demand, then ordinary handoff failures quietly weaken the result. A missed inquiry, unclear ownership, inconsistent follow-up, or an estimate with no next action can be enough to lose momentum. Alan Business Works exists to make those gaps visible and give owners a practical order for fixing them.

The kind of leaks we typically find

  • Inbound calls, web forms, or texts reach the business but do not have a clear response-time standard, backup owner, or documented next step.
  • Leads sit in the CRM with vague statuses, no scheduled next action, incomplete notes, or ownership that changes without a clean handoff.
  • Estimates are sent, but follow-up timing, stall reasons, and recovery priority are not tracked consistently enough to know what deserves attention first.

What that means for you

  • No jargon, no generic playbooks — findings based on how revenue actually moves through a business
  • A fixed scope and fixed price, so you know what you're getting before you buy
  • Straight answers — if the information available can't support a solid conclusion, I'll say so and ask for more, rather than guessing
